Home.  It’s one of the reasons Dana Ellefson is happy with his Dart Dedicated contract.  Time with his wife Karen and three kids Joel, Jamie, and Whitney is very important.  With Dedicated, Dana sees his family almost every night.

“I think I have the best career,” he says.  In the 16 years he’s been with Dart, Dana has made many friends.  “I really like the people I work with at Dart -- and my customer.”

Dana has been in the trucking industry 24 years, and transitioned from company driver to owner operator when he contracted a truck with Dart in 1995.  “I really like doing what I want, instead of punching a time card,” Ellefson says.

Dana’s first truck was a 1986 Peterbilt he purchased from a friend.  Three years later he sold it and bought his second Peterbilt – a 1996.  Now Dana owns a 1999 Kenworth, a show-quality truck that he carefully maintains.
