The Wall that Heals

The Wall that Heals

Dart was honored to haul the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund's "The Wall That Heals" from Wamego, Kansas, to the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, Minnesota, for its display from June 21 through June 24, 2018. The Wall That Heals is a traveling memorial 3/4-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Longtime Dart independent contractor Brad Chapdelaine was behind the wheel and instrumental in the logistics of transporting The Wall from Kansas to Minnesota. “It means so much to me as a military veteran to do this,” said Chapdelaine. “To be able to bring something to communities that enriches people’s lives and something that even helps bring closure to some – it means the world to me.”

Callie Wright, who works for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C., explained how trucking companies play an important role in transporting The Wall: “We don’t make it from place to place without organizations like Dart volunteering their time to drive us all over the country. Thanks to organizations like Dart we are able to bring this incredible Wall out to communities so people can see it, touch the over 50,000 names on the Wall, and experience it.”

Thank you to Brad Chapdelaine and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund for making this experience an unforgettable one for all involved.
