Truckers Against Trafficking

In today’s economy, it is easy for companies to be solely consumed by their success, failing to notice or provide help to the world around them. However, since 1934 Dart has been committed to being a company that is hands-on and active within the greater community. That is why Dart supports Truckers against Trafficking, to aid in the fight against human trafficking. Human trafficking can be anywhere; but it is a crime that commonly goes unnoticed because people are not educated on what to look for or how to help. Recently, Dart has taken actions to educate drivers on what to look for so they can properly help. Drivers are usually running familiar routes and stopping at familiar truck stops when on the road. This familiarity can be used as an advantage in observing something out of place, like a victim or a human trafficker. So far, Dart has educated 500 drivers with the Truckers against Trafficking education materials. These materials define and analyze human trafficking, educating the driver on what to look for. In addition, the materials give tips regarding what to do if you see suspicious behavior and how to best help human trafficking victims. Dart has not only educated drivers, they have also made this topic a feature podcast series. The podcast will inform and educate drivers on how to help, who to call, and what to do. This podcast is an important step for Dart and will hopefully lead the entire trucking industry in the battle against human trafficking. With more educated drivers, Dart and Truckers against Trafficking hope to one day end human trafficking.
