As we celebrate the Holiday Season, close out the old year, and launch into the New Year we want to say thank you, Dart contractors, for your outstanding service and loyalty during 2011.  We expect that 2012 will be a good year, and we look forward to working with you in the coming year.  

In 2012 we’re celebrating Dart’s 78th year as a family-owned company -- a place of where professional truck drivers have the opportunity to be independent and manage their own businesses.   

We expect many good things in 2012.  Here are a few:

We are working to translate growing demand into rate increases for our contractors.

Highway Sales will have more new fuel efficient trucks available at great prices.

We plan to purchase 700 additional Eco Trailers as we continue to renew our trailer fleet.

And this year we are cooperating with one of our dedicated customers to launch a totally new version of the Eco Tractor, powered by compressed natural gas.  Combined with our Eco Trailers, Dart will have the most environmentally friendly equipment on the road.

Also on the horizon in 2012 are pending changes to Hours of Service rules.  We have worked hard to hold on to the current Hours of Service rules, but we believe the government will make some changes.  We believe the current rules are safe and work well for Dart contractors and drivers.  Since the proposed changes restrict truck supply, we will do our best to increase our rates to shippers so we can increase our rates to you.

Thank you for your loyalty and hard work this past year.  We wish you and your family a very happy and safe holiday season and a successful year in 2012.
